On the development version of #Letterpress, @tbernard found a bug that I can't reproduce: the zooming by holding Ctrl and turning mouse scroll wheel, the zoom level moves in steps of five fonts per tick instead of one. For me, it zooms by one level per tick just fine.
Could you please try out the latest version yourself and see how it zooms for you?

I'm experimenting with a crazy ornate #typeface, Arboret No. 2. #Typesetting for a bookmark for the local town fair. This particular set of type is from Skyline Foundry: https://skylinetype.com/product/arboret-ornament-suite/ #letterpress

Together with my dear friend Jan-Willem, I designed and printed this football (art) poster for the match between FC Eindhoven and ADO Den Haag on September 18th. For this poster we used my typeface Pim and the Analogue Pixels again.

#letterpress class today. My first ever! Six students and we were each asked to bring a phrase or sentence related to the letter D. Anyone who knows me, knows which one was mine.
I'd always thought that the word "bond" in reference to paper (as in "20lb bond") referred to something about the fibers being 'bonded' together somehow.
Apparently—at least according to this fun 1922 commercial reference book I just lost an hour to—that's not the case. It's called that because it was originally made for printing financial bonds and certificates on a printing press.

Today, I made this for #Letterpress, @gregorni’s awesome app that turns images into text. He’s working on a helpful dialog that shows how to get the best possible text output, and this is the first of 4 explanatory illustrations for it!

I now know just enough about how to operate a Vandercook press (the kind from the 1950s with rollers) to be dangerous. Each letterpress workshop attendee had to set up a line of type using the slug varieties set out for us, then we set up a page with all the lines (theme: summer) and printed. I was easily 20ish years older than anyone else in the room, which only matters because knowing that should make it easier to identify the line I typeset.
Back on the press. With a simple message. Walk more. Bike more.
