Happy Friday!
This morning our resident Swamp Wallaby was in the backyard and was so engaged with nibbling tasty grass that I managed to leave the house and take the car out without it hopping away. This also meant I got a few photos too.
Then, upon getting to work, I found the White Magpie again. Clearly a good day for wildlife.

Birds of the day:
Becky spotted this amazing barred owl, sleeping in the trees, and later, we saw what I believe is a leucistic* song sparrow. (A very rare sighting)
*Leucism - An animal condition in which there is partial loss of pigmentation resulting in white, pale, or patchy coloration of the skin, hair, feathers, scales or cuticle, but not the eyes. Not albinism.

Something cheery for your (timeline? feed?): This is my "neighbor," Lucy, the leucistic Eurasian collared dove. I can always pick em out from amongst the other neighborhood doves due to the soft wash of eir reduced pigmentation and eir sparkling wit.
(Eurasian collared doves are considered an invasive species here in Oregon, but, of course, they didn't ask to be introduced.)
