3. The word tridenu
tridenu [tɾi.ˈdɛ.nu] n. fem. : arthropod; some reaching the size of an average human ribcage
I know very little about the flora and fauna of Kus (the home planet on which the Lorthoans live). I know only that this is an arthropod and my gut tells me it’s terrestrial.
2. The word bekhesh-
bekhesh [bɛ.ˈkʰɛʃ] adj. : 1. messy, dirty, soiled; 2. forbidden, unspeakable, e.g. bekheshu mathu “forbidden tongue”
I had no idea there was such a thing; so this discovery was indeed a surprise. I do not know to what language this refers and I am left with pure speculation at the moment. I can’t wait to discover it!
In reviewing my #Lexember entries for 2022, three #Lortho words stood out to me. A thread:
1. The suffix -tha.
Until last month, there was only one word with this suffix:
kansaptha [kan.ˈsap.tʰa] n. neut. : forest
I knew it was related to kansapu (tree, n. fem.), but I didn't know how until this discovery:
dinaktha [di.ˈnak.tʰa] n. neut. : flock; see dinaku (bird, n. fem.)
It's still unclear whether -tha is reserved for feminine nouns
I missed #lexember so instead I'm going to do my own #languary for the month of January!
Join me once per day to learn a word from either the skarastaja or årdrakin languages found throughout AOS. ✨
Today's word is "ansansi", which is a noun meaning "collective mentality", "hive mind", or "groupthink". This is a condition all skarastaja live with.

#Lexember #Lexember2022 is over; I coined 185 words for #Rireinutire (or 202, or 259, depending on how you count). #conlang
I'm making a note here: A huge success.
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

Iḳiaṣ́ü
mănits [ꜛmə.ꜜnɪts]
adj. (animate) non-binary
From proto Chkïxünśj word: *ˈɛŋ.ʈʂa meaning non-binary adult.
The Iḳiaṣ́ü people were introduced to genders outside the binary from their neighboring kingdom, so they borrowed the word and used it as an adjective (despite it originally being a noun).
