It's actually very poetic that the UK and the US have LGBTQ history and Black history as Feb/Oct and Oct/Feb respectively. Because both sets of oppression have their roots in such bioessentialist ideas, that bodies define a person in a way that the person is never allowed to.
It's a way of looking at people as things and is this all about dehumanisation.

March 1937 3,000 spinsters march on Hyde Park to protest for pensions for unmarried women at age 55. This became known as the Spinster Protest. In the 30s many unmarried women struggled reaching the retirement age of 65 due to poor employment prospects, many died before receiving it.
