[1/2] "You're beautiful," Mario says, and Arum stiffens under his touch.
"I'm handsome," Arum corrects him, and Mar squints as he takes in her words, before he registers her meaning.
"What are your pronouns, handsome Arum?" he asks.
"She/her is fine."
"But you're non-binary?"
Arum nods.
"Okay," he says.
For some strange reason, Arum feels... exposed, maybe? Like she needs to explain herself.
