Last week two important global initiatives were held: Transgender Awareness Week Nov 13-19 & LGBTQIA+ in STEM Day Nov 18. Each increases visibility & raises awareness of the issues this community faces.
Today, Nov 20, is Transgender Day of Remembrance; honouring lives lost due to acts of anti-trans violence & phobia.
The STEM sector needs systemic change to embrace diversity & shift the culture.
