We talked to my dad about Mrs Hall & Miss Moss, a couple who lived in our small town in the '60s. People were very homophobic in the 90s when I lived there so I suspected it was worse earlier. But Hall & Moss were respected community members. At first
Dad said people were more accepting of difference back then. Then he said it was more like they ignored difference. It helped that Hall & Moss were women, fairly well-off and useful.

Loved recording this with my dad. We talked about Pen Hall, a kind lady he did jobs for as a kid. I found lots of articles about her because she lived a wealthy and glamorous life in Brisbane.

She then retired to the country and lived a completely different life.
