Every problem has a solution! 🙌
Last autumn CMS Electromagnetic Calorimeter (ECAL) came across a leak in the cooling circuit.
Thanks to the dedication of our experts, we managed to identify the problem and repair it on time, before the restart of #LHCRun3 !

It's collision time!
The ATLAS Experiment at @CERN recorded its first 13.6 TeV collisions of 2023! This marks the start of a new data-taking harvest for the experiment and an exciting continuation of the #LHCRun3 programme.

Time has come to talk of #physics💫
Today, the LHC received the first 2023 stable beams at the record energy of 6.8 TeV – weeks after the first #BeamTime of the year, and after several weeks of getting the #LHC ready for chapter 2 of #LHCRun3.
Stay tuned for more #physics news!

Getting ready for a new season of #LHCRun3!
Yesterday, the ATLAS Experiment recorded its first beam-splash tests of 2023. These tests use a single bunch of protons from the LHC to shower the ATLAS experiment with particles – lighting up the sub-detectors to test their operation.

We're heading underground!👷 Join us for a live virtual visit of the ATLAS experimental cavern at @CERN Thursday 16 March at 5pm.
This will be the last chance to see ATLAS before proton beams return to the #LHC for #LHCRun3. See you then!

I was up and out early this morning for a 7am start on my first @CMSexperiment shift of the year! And not a trainee this time, now I'm the one responsible for the safety of all the #CMSexperiment detector systems, as well as all the people underground.

An exciting end to the year with a recap of CERN in 2022 🙌
It felt incredible to have produced #highlights2022 #CERN video with an amazing team in a relatively short time given the number of achievements CERN had this year! #LHCRun3

The @ATLASexperiment@twitter.com has just released its first measurements using #LHCRun3 data. In these first studies of collisions at the energy of 13.6 TeV, they measured two #StandardModel processes: the production of Z bosons and top-quark pairs.

First lead-ion collisions✨
Last week, the LHC accelerated and collided test beams of lead nuclei at the record energy of 5.36 TeV, a first for #LHCRun3. The collisions provided the opportunity for the #LHC experiments to validate their new detectors and data-processing systems.
