Dr #ThemaBryant does some awesome work on #LiberationPsychology that discusses some of the approaches healing justice practitioners use to reframe many of the constructs that have been weaponized against people of the global majority. The goal of liberation psychology is to validate the experiences of diasporic peoples and celebrate their own contributions to these constructs.

E.g. PBS did a great documentary on how certain aspects of "professionalism" are actually tied to the eugenics movement so I always appreciate efforts to include diasporic people without expecting them to conform to the norms of respectability politics.

Professor Serdar Değirmencioğlu has been awarded the Outstanding Service Award In recognition of for his innovative research and hard work to advance the mission and goals of APA Division 48 (Peace Psychology) and the field of peace psychology.

He was the keynote speaker at the Afro-Asian Critical Psychology Conference in May 2022.
