And, read more or less in parallel with it, no. 32.

A nice easy going wander through some of the vertebrates and invertebrates we share the planet with. They certainly sound better than people for the most part.

Highly, highly recommended. Vulnerable, authentic, funny, dark, optimistic, difficult, and loving - Selma Blair is such a badass. Her stories of her friendship with Carrie Fisher brought me to tears.

A fairly quick and easy read; enjoyable, but not quite as good as Rebirding.

An interesting memoir from my local , stirring up memories and emotions while giving insights into what is involved in wildlife filmography. Now I just have to find the film he was making!

A nice balance of idealism and pragmatism in seeking to manage land for nature while also operating as a farm.

Back to the hard stuff now as my holiday is over (and my lunch break is about to be too!), I’ll have to restrain myself from borrowing more when I return this to the

When this holiday is over I’ll get back to my own books that I’m supposed to be powering through before I’m allowing myself to buy more rather than going for easy things picked up at the .

Though this one while readable wasn’t easy in all senses, I found it quite an emotional read.

Eighteenth of my Something fun and easy, a book that I enjoyed reading and absolutely blasted between the more serious books I have on the go that I want to read but maybe enjoy less or just find harder work.
And yes, it is another : it turns out most of my unread books-that-I-own are in the harder to read camp!

It is another so hasn’t helped to reduce the size of my to-read pile, but is a fascinating examination of the history and nature of in Britain. If you’re interested in humans constantly evolving relationship with it is definitely worth a look, and good to and save money by borrowing it.

Okay. I am switching. I am starting Enchantment: Awakening Wonder in an Anxious Age by Katherine May instead of Down Among the Sticks and Bones. I'll read that next.

My hold for Indigenous Continent came in and now I can finish the book. I am actually almost done with it. I hadn't realized how far I was in to it.

Current read If Walls Could Talk by Lucy Worsley. So far a fascinating look at how common objects and the home evolved through history. Really enjoying it.

My current

Skelton's Guide to Suitcase Murders

Second book in the series. Very dry tongue in cheek humor. Reminds me of PG Wodehouse.
