Why do librarians stick their library stickers on top of the author bio so you can’t read about them?

I’m a librarian (well, I was in a past life)

My answer was that they are operating the library system and not thinking of the reader

Ready to throw my #Kobo #ereader into the sea. I've rarely owned a device that was so frustrating and failure-prone. I asked here before and didn't get any responses, but I'm gonna try one more time: what non-Kindle e-readers do you recommend? I don't want to own anything in the Amazon ecosystem, so won't get a Kindle, and only need it to sync with #Libby or #Overdrive so I can read #library books.

The #Libby app has been updated to fix some of the filter limitations that had been frustrating me. Being able to apply multiple filter categories for genre, age group, format, etc. makes it so much easier to browse through the online catalog and see all of the things you want.

Time for a thread of #LibraryBooks. Here’s today’s winnings off my gold list from my trip to the library.

Just started reading this & already I can see why #JodiTaylor wrote a glowing review. It's like #SarahWaters meets #MarieBrennan. Very atmospheric & intriguing. #Witherward was published two years ago and its sequel, #Wayward (which I have also borrowed) last year. Witherward is the debut novel by #HannahMathewson & I feel she is one to watch.

Whew! I had a busy morning in town with my 14-year-old, including eye appointments, Christmas shopping, and more, but now that we're home again, I'm settling in with 2 library holds that were ready for pickup, along with yummy Stollen cake and coffee...and Pebbles is making very sure that I don't go anywhere else. ;)
