My hot take on #BIBFRAME is that it's never happening. It's been in the pipes for over ten years now, and they've done some amazing things in that time.
But:
- The cataloguing software doesn't support it.
- There are no editors (I spent all day trying to run the one made by #LibraryOfCongress and it won't go. Their readme is useless.)

Today's culprit was the scholar who, in 1935, passed as a quote from the original document what his real source, another scholar's book published in 1917, only presented as paraphrase...

They missed a golden opportunity to rule that the Berne Copyright Convention is incompatible with the US Constitition, and that, as directed by the #constitution , #copyright in the US is currently unconstitutional and should expire after 28 years.
#Copyright was intended to last for a limited time, not to provide a continuing income stream for creators, and certainly not for the #heirs and #estates.
