I am frankly puzzled by the recent choices made by many libre currency devs to keep going with the idea of a worldwide internet free of access.

Recent events have shown that we should on contrary focus on local and resilient solutions.

Libre currency in itself can work offline so why not push in that direction, I don't get it.

The closest thing we have to a whitepaper is a serie of articles that I compiled and enhanced a bit here :

It is still unfinished (an academic contributor should have reviewed it...). But most information is there.

However, the monetary theory behind libre currency is much more relevant than Duniters implementation. You should get the big picture before looking into details.

Currency is issued through a universal dividend, read the Relative Theory of Money for a demonstration:
