Because of all that snow and mud I photographed this lichen today from a far distance and thought it was a crustose lichen. After reviewing the photos, it turned out it may have been a Pink Earth Lichen (Dibaeis baeomyces). So, it's a fruticose lichen and I missed photographing some pink apothecia (fruiting bodies)? 🤷‍♂️

Beautiful fruiting bodies of a Crustose lichen on a broken Eastern Cedar and a Foliose lichen with fruiting bodies (apothecia). The foliose lichen is a new find for me of today.

#mosstodon, it’s time for a #terrarium update 😁 I get to have my own private #mossyMoment every time I look to my left when I’m on/in my bed! I built this in September and am watching it grow in & fill out more & more each day!
