Another good day: I did my first QSO on #15m today! Thank you George/4L5EE in Tbilisi, #Georgia (2367km/1476 mi)!

Operating #portable again. This time for the first time with the #JPC-12 antenna and #Eremit #LiFePO4 batteries.

Conditions on 10m were not that good. Also I have the feeling that my #T2LT antenna works better from within the wood. 🤷‍♂️

I heard half of the world on 15m but didn't get through. Definitely an interesting band but I have to try a different spot next time.

Wir sind dieses Jahr wieder auf dem #AirbeatOne Festival. 4 Tage Camping mit einer Gruppe von 8 Leuten. Wir haben ein Camp mit Zelt usw aufgebaut.
Damit wir genügend Strom haben haben wir 10kwh Batterie #lifepo4 mit sowie 1.8kwp #pv
So kann Camping auch fein sein. #Starlink ist auch dabei. #PVbuddies

Lesson learned: If you have a large inverter you need some way to pre-charge the capacitors before connecting LiFePO4 batteries so that the BMS doesn’t shut the battery down due to inverter inrush current. My temporary solution is to use an AGM battery to charge the caps before shutting the battery disconnect. Permanent solution will be installing a current surge limiter. #lifepo4 #inverters #rvlife
