If an author is sharing information on #Mastodon (or afk) that is both *important* and incorrect, please politely correct them (privately or publicly as appropriate).

In such cases it is okay if they didn't ask to be educated and their info was not about you. We are all impacted when bad information and unhealthy cultural norms go unchallenged.

This likely addresses something outside of the OP's intent -- but should be said. We are increasingly affected by unhealthy and unhelpful info. We can all play a part in changing that.
