What I miss about #LifeWithoutTheInternet was that people were less flakey. If my friends and I promised to hang out at the mall after school, we had to show up because we didn't have mobile phones to tell anyone we're not coming. And no one thought to ghost either, that was simply unthinkable.
I tend to wax lyrical about #LifeWithoutTheInternet but actually life's a lot easier with it than without. Mine was the last generation that played outside but was also the early internet adopter. I still have old school values regarding relationship but absolutely do not miss how hard it was to obtain media and info for my very niche special interests. I actually grew up believing if I couldn't find them then, I wouldn't be able to have them ever.
Looking for a job? Need a tv? Need a car? What's going on? How about some healthy living advice?
Time to go get a Newspaper. Pro-tip: The Sunday paper has the most stuff. And is fun to look at breakfast.
#LifeWithoutTheInternet It you missed a TV show, you will have to have someone tell you what happened or just never know.
Friends will make claims of secrets in video games and you would try to do it and see if it was real. They almost never were. But looking back, it was a fun way to stretch the life of a game.
I miss getting out of school on a Friday and heading to #Blockbuster #LifeWithoutTheInternet

#LifeWithoutTheInternet Gaming has been a lot worse with the internet. Now you can hardly find a game that doesnโt try to sell you something. You used to buy complete games. It was not not assuming you were connected at all times.
BTW here's the full meme from yesterday's post.
I have been living without a smartphone for over a year now. The quality of life has improved enormously. I read books on public transport, I know who real friends are (they knock on the door) and Google only shows movie trailers.
Before The Internet became big back when I was in middle school, I read, did art projects, watched movies, and built LEGO models a lot. #lifewithouttheinternet
This clip from Simpsons sums up life without the internet... or does it?! Life without social media too!

My gaming #lifewithouttheinternet was great. I had a 3rd gen (8 bit) console. Played to my heartโs content, no saves so I spent hours finishing up the game or forced to pause because itโs lunch / dinner ๐. When I transitioned to PC gaming, I was well happy buying those CD / DVD, install and play awesome single player campaign. Good times ๐
#lifewithouttheinternet Just imagine how wonderful life would be if we disconnected from the internet! We are constantly connected online, and we forget about the important things like fresh air, nature, and the sound of birds singing.
I used to listen to the radio a lot more. Somehow I felt more connected knowing that many others were listening to the same thing at the same time. #lifewithouttheinternet Also, music didnโt suck back then.
I remember being frustrated trying to find out information about something and the encyclopedia didn't have that topic in it, or else the entry wasn't enough to satisfy my curiosity.
I dream of #lifewithouttheinternet- especially with regard to our children. Sometimes I wish for a power outage so our family will have to play Monopoly and eat the ice cream in the freezer before it melts.
#lifewithouttheinternet a kind of life where you can just lay on the ground under these tall trees, staring at the blue sky and inhaling the fresh air ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Having to shell out the funds for an entire CD just to get *that one song*, only to discover the rest of the album sucks. ๐
Having used the Internet for just a bit less than 40 years... I really don't know what that would mean.
