Educating my fellow public sector employees about organized labor took years and great patience. This is because it's not teaching new concepts. It is, instead, helping liberals like myself unlearn the mythology of worker-employer harmony.

Then, the employer did something dumb and the result was the most satisfying effort of my life. I helped organize hundreds.
