A #ProTip for visiting #LightArtFestivals: the artworks are usually switched on half an hour - hour before the official opening time, to see that everything's working. During that sweet spot there's no rush and getting decent photos with a regular phone/camera is possible, with a little daylight left to balance the contrast. After all, not too many #LightArt pieces need total darkness.

@jamesc Pretty good options, both! My first plan was to dash to Sicily, for warmth and affordability. Turns out, there are some #lightartfestivals lurking on my route, and those are impossible for me to pass. So, I'll spend a chunk or my "warm" and "cheap" month in Switzerland, it seems.
