Deep Thot: What if instead of a single #favorite button there was a #likert scale (-10 to +10).
The values could represent anything the rater chose, but posts could be filtered sorted by the *user* (not robot) based on the mean of the ratings. Quite sure there are problems with this, but I’m throwing it out there in the universe.

A few years ago I was in an #experimental phase, so turned a stack of #Likert scale results from an experimental scale into a #stringquartet. Short version - I converted the scale results into a pentatonic scale, used more results to determine note length, and then turned that into the music.

Today's cultural learnings for make great nation of Statistics:

* Chi Squared distribution is useful
* Likert data is hard work
* I have a lot of survey data that needs re-doing... :)
