An update on my #homeserver adventures. I think the #lime2 is just too underpowered for what I want to do. So far I installed #Nextcloud and #Airsonic. Half of the 1GB of RAM is used up. Nextcloud web UI takes more than 30 seconds to load; Airsonic is worse, it constantly generates gateway time-outs.

I've always hated waiting for a computer. Tomorrow I'll (hopefully) pick up a refurbished Lenovo Tiny desktop with 8GB of RAM. 😄

That will free up the LIME2 for PieHole.

My #yunohost server is up and running on my #olimex #lime2 single-board computer. To be honest I didn't take a quick route. It's only when I put my stubbornness aside and used the yunohost stretch official image for LIME2 that it worked.

I bought a SATA SSD over the weekend and moved /home from the microSD card to the SSD. I've installed #Nextcloud and #Airsonic. Have been getting a lot of gateway time-outs with the latter, not sure why.

So I burned Armbian stretch on my recently acquired microSD, booted my #lime2 and upgraded the packages. No issue.

Finally ready to install #YunoHost...

And hey, after 12 years of :ubuntu: I'm also a :debian: user now. 🤓

I've been procrastinating on installing #YunoHost on my #Olimex #lime2 SBC. I'm still undecided if I'll do a simpler install with yunohost tld, or try to setup one of my two unused domains.

In the meantime I'm brushing up on terminal commands, as the #Armbian image I installed is headless. I tested plugging an external HDD through the SATA port, had been a long time since I used mount, umount commands! And I'll have to play with /etc/fstab, which I haven't done in years. All through ssh. 🤓
