I bought a #LimeSDR 2.0 and a case to put it in, but the instructions are sparse and the case isn't for this version. In my sparse little corner of the Fediverse, so I know anyone who knows how thermal pads, aluminum, and circuit boards should fit together?

Any #radio enthusiasts want to suggest a good #SDR for someone looking to move up from cheap RTL-SDR dongles to something that transmits?

I'd like to learn more about modern digital RF, particularly cellular and spread-spectrum waveforms… so initially I started looking at the #LimeSDR and #BladeRF type units. (The #HackRFOne is neat, but can't do full duplex…)

What about the ADALM-PLUTO (and clones), though? It's cheaper and seems to be a favorite of the #AMSAT folks.

Unfortunately no #RSPdx #airspy #limesdr or #kiwisdr under the #Christmas tree. Santa Claus 🎅 didn't read my wish list well🤷‍♂️. So, there is currently no #SDR extension in the shack...

Had a hell of a time getting a LimeSDR Mini working with Gqrx on my Arch box. Wrote up how I finally got it working so I don't have to go through that again, and maybe help someone else having trouble with it.
