#RPGaDay2023 Day 24: Complex/Simple #RPG you play.

Complex: this will probably be #Pathfinder2e. The core mechanics are straightforward but the additional elements add another layer. I’m happy to play it but I doubt I could run it.

Simple: #LiminalRPG (and, therefore, #TravellerRPG). An easy 2d6 plus skills again a target number. I really need to get round to writing some bits down for it.

#RPGaDAY2023 Day 3 catchup: First game bought (this year) - "Liminal" by @TheTweedmeister. On the very-back-burner for years I'd had ideas for a game of British police team investigating the occult/magical (after Paul Cornell's "London Falling" and Ben Aaronovitch's "Rivers of London") likely using the #Esoterrorists system (#Gumshoe game by @robindlaws) - and beautiful #LiminalRPG looks tempting for material. (Guess the licensed #RiversOfLondon RPG should get a look too now it's published!)

#RPGaDay2023 Day 1: First #RPG played this year.

This would be #LiminalRPG with @cnc306 in the GM chair. I really like both the setting and the system and look forward to playing more in the future. It has also ignited an interest in writing for this setting and digging into the history of Lincoln to see what I can use to make interesting adventures.

The final two books were gifts from @cnc306 as potential resource material for a #LiminalRPG game set in Lincoln. I’m pleased to say I have ideas for a few adventures that I am looking to write up (and maybe even publish if they turn out well enough).

In other news, I've sketched out an outline for my second Darkness of the Demimonde scenario.

Unexpected free evening so I've had another crack at the #LiminalRPG character sheet on Roll20. Hopefully the way it handles advances is now comprehensible to people who aren't me. I honestly don't know what I was thinking.

Just finished running the first session of #TheLastParsec The PCs captured their objective and avoided the big fight with some fast talking and speedy repair rolls. A couple of games of #LiminalRPG today at #7HillsRPG. One I ran myself this morning as a replacement (Ghosts of Glencoe) that ran short but the players seemed to enjoy it and one run by @SavageSpiel. This latter one was a great investigation with really interesting PCs. Great fun 👍

Picked up the #RootRPG after yesterday's game and won the #BlueRose Quickstart in the raffle. Looking forward to giving them a read/run out.

Great to play #LiminalRPG at #7HillsRPG this afternoon. An investigation in Manchester following a strange death. Twists and turns aplenty but a successful outcome was achieved 👍 #TTRPG #RPG

Finished reading @TheTweedmeister's #LiminalRPG earlier and thought about running The Zalozhniy Quartet using it for a slightly different campaign. I loved playing it myself with #NightsBlackAgents but I think Liminal is a better fit for my gaming mindset.

I also think Liminal would be a great fit for an Ultraviolet setting (the UK Channel 4 series from Joe Ahearne and starring Jack Davenport, Susannah Harker, Idris Elba, and Philip Quast).

I also finished my 8 week #LiminalRPG campaign at #MKRPG last night. A very different campaign in which the Auspex LLC private investigation team delved into four cases in and around Northampton, encountering pretty much everything the hidden world has to offer.
