there will almost certainly be more to add to this catalogue to which I link, but there is a classic car auction just popped on to my radar.
The auctioneer is Golding Young, and the sale, on the 18th of October, is billed as a Toy, Transport & Automobilia Sale.

Gas! Gas! Gas! - 33 poisoned by carbon monoxide at a go-karting track in - its been treated as a major incident and multiple agencies are investigating (maybe would be better to make these things electric, provided they are safe if there was a collision?)

I think the famous Lincolnshire Hobbit has been busy. Doing the Dyson-ning in the bedroom & noticed two stones in the middle of the carpet.

Nope, the ceiling is fine: no holes. No obvious explanation for how they got there. Gall stones? Kidney stones?

Must be the Boggart ...

Brigg Horse Fair on a wet day - which is very unusual as it is normally hot & dry.

Not Yorkshire, but not bad either. It's a rather overlooked corner of the country, and all the softer for it.

Easily one of my favourite maps. Of course, useless for navigation, but nice to get happily lost in. From 'A Prospect of Lincolnshire' (1984) eds N Field & A White

Lincolnshire Wildlife Park has opened a new Changing Places toilet - a space which is accessible to those people who need more space and support than a standard accessible toilet. This should help open up the park to even more visitors.

🚴‍♂️ DSM have announced their team for the Tour de France. Romain Bardet will lead.

Unfortunately - for me at least here in Lincolnshire - local lad Max Poole has not been selected - after showing so much promise at the Critérium du Dauphiné. I'm sure his time will come.

🦆 🦢 There hasn't been any sign of any ducks or swans on the River Ancholme for quite a few days now. In previous years there have been many of both on the river. The numbers have been going down since signs telling people not to feed bread have been put up.

However this year there are none anywhere as far as the eye can see up and down the river. Even on a busy day with many people on the riverside.

Cause? Bird flu? Natural fluctuations? Poaching?

🚴‍♂️ Critérium du Dauphiné. Entertaining to see Victor Campenaerts take the KOM with his own hill-top celebration. Max Poole - a young rider from Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire - gained a creditable 5th place in the Queen stage.

As ever Jonas Vingegaard excelled, taking the stage with an impressive time gap; a 'training' stage for Le Tour. Looking forward to tomorrow to see the podium placings decided.

☀️ The sun has fiiiiiiiiiiinnnnaaallly come through here in Lindsey, Lincolnshire. It has only been the best part of a month without seeing it. Yet - even though its the end of the first week of June - with the wind off the sea it's still cold enough for a jumper. 🧥

Dauphine. The French 1,2,3 has been done: Christophe Laporte easily won a sprint against the top sprinters Groenewegen & Bennett (both relegated).

Locally (for me) ITV4 highlighted the v young Team DSM - average age less than 23 - with Max Poole carrying the hopes of Scunthorpe (in the northern Lindsey area of Lincolnshire). It will be interesting to see if he will be entered into the Tour de France.

Gunby Estate Hall & Gardens is a beautiful historic property located in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England. It dates back to the early 1700s and has a rich history spanning over 300 years. It was built in 1700 by Sir William Massingberd and has been passed down through the Massingberd family for generations. The hall is known for its well-preserved Georgian architecture and interiors.
