In 2003 my #XP hard drive popped and I found out you couldn't just get #Windows at the store anymore and put it on a new hard drive. So I bought a computer that came with #Lindows installed. It was basically #Debian but with no way to install software unless you subscribed for $50 a year!

Linspire (formerly Lindows) is back on the Linux map.

A labor of love or a pure business investment?

Linspire is a commercial, non-enterprise Linux distro filled with proprietary elements, so it sure isn't a right out embraced offering in Linux community.

PC/OpenSystems LLC bought the rights.

As a commercial product, a purchase of a yearly license to get updates / access to CNR ("Click 'n Run).
