Got LingoDeer lifetime subscription (with Plus), as it was on sale until today, and seems to be what folks generally agree about on Reddit (/r/korean).

I went though the alphabet these last couple days, so today got the subscription and started the lessons after the alphabet. So far enjoying it!

I finally did it and got rid of #duolingo 🥳 It was so frustrating with the new path learning. I didn't have the impression to get any further but the anxiety to loose my streak kept me going in this joyless torture.

Now I'll try #Lingodeer (which is very much like Duolingo but without Friends and Leadership boards) for Japanese and #RosettaStone for Polish. The later app doesn't give any translations which is fine for my Polish but not Japanese.

@rooneyverses I just started using #LingoDeer for #Korean and it has really good explanations. Now I’m using #Duolingo for the game aspect and LingoDeer to understand wtf is going on 😛

@XCsci I liked the old better… but I’m finding that the new version is better for review. I just do the various check marks over and over again. Also for the matching activities, I just deliberately go slow so I don’t finish in time - then I can do them over and over as practice. I’m ignoring the leaderboards, I don’t care about getting points. I also have a lifetime LingoDeer and go there for practice on the languages there. #duolingo #languages #lingodeer
