@hankg @TruthOrFiction I trolled my non-native-English friends with the original music video years ago, told them I found it profound and asked what they made of the lyrics. They all laughed when I said it was gibberish that just used the sounds of English.

I'm an evil #linguist sometimes, but it's always fun learning more about how languages work.

I used to be a real “language nerd” — and then sort of burnt out teaching German classes, so I focused in art instead. Now I tried to go back into languages, and I still…don’t feel it… Which sucks because I could help so many people who struggle with this language. But art and music is where my heart is. Can’t do either on a professional level, though. Aaargh, someone give me the solution already 🫠

This genus - aglais urticae - is named after Aglaia (splendid, shining one) in Gk myth, & latin ‘urtica’, stinging nettle, on which its larvae feed.
