Trying to follow people on #mastodon and realized one glaring issue: bio fields are not included in search. searches ONLY include posts. so to find folks in #linguistics #fieldwork #nlp #machinelearning #linguistictypology #historicallinguistics etc, I have to root through hundreds of posts and profiles if i don’t have specific people in mind already.
