But the main point is that they don't "give little to nothing back" - they deliver huge volumes of #traffic -- that is, #eyeballs -- to the #news #sites that they are showing headlines or summaries from *and #linking back to*.
The news sites get far more out of the deal than #Facebook/#Google - proven by their stopping rather than paying a link tax.

You managed to get a# law passed that means they would have to #pay you for the privilege of #linking to you, didn't you?
Now they get to choose whether to continue linking to you, or not.
You can't have it both ways with "You must link to us, but you must pay us to link".
I think they're in for a rude #webstats awakening.

Well, in Asia there's #Yandex and #Baidu and so on. Web sites stopped #linking to each others because it doesn't matter, it's all just Google now. #WebSurfing ceased existing. #Email is Gmail and the #spam is built-in.
