#gelplate #printmaking #linoblock I just am getting acquainted with gel-plates. I discovered that if I ink the gel plate and put a carved linoblock on it, the Lino lifts the ink/paint and gives me a reverse of what the Lino would normally print. This way I can quickly carve a ‘line drawing’ and print that design over and over using a gel plate. Then the ‘line drawing’ print can be hand colored in different ways each time.

hey there #lino #linoblock #linocut #linoprint artists!
i am a painter new to lino and am interested to learn more about printing techniques. i feel comfortable with the design and cutting part, but don't fully understand the inking and printing.

these prints are my first foray into inking & printing. i found it really difficult to get a good print (using speedball ink, roller and baren). any tips or thoughts?
