Asking for specific #examples type checking finds is ... unproductive. You write 2 modules of code, run #mypy, and get a list of the 11 places you need to fix - before you've even written unit tests that may or may not have caught the same problem.

If I tried to keep track of them all, I wouldn't have time to write code.

The latest hotness in the #Python world seems to be Ruff, an *extraordinarily* fast linter written in Rust. I added it to my project at work and got the combined functionality of pyflakes, isort, autoflake and bandit. It also covers flake8 and a lot of flake8 plugins. Over 500 rules and counting.

We got a #dryer a couple of weeks ago.
Do #dryers always capture so much #lint? or is it just in the first several cycles?
And why does it capture so much lint?!
Either way - scraping the lint out of the filter is sooo satisfying!

I will clean up the insides of the #Terraform module so that it has significantly less #lint. I will not rework its #interface or #implementation to the point that it requires surgery on existing states.

anyone using php-parallel-lint/php-parallel-lint with the "exclude" cli option?

maybe you are interessted in this change which is 30x faster in my setup then the current stable version.

It’s 6am and I’ve cleaned up the #helm #lint errors in the chart I’ve been working on. Glad to have that done. Once the PR is synced and #ArgoCD isn’t yelling at me, I can replicate in our other environment and close my JIRA tasks.

Lint all the things!

I had some linters as a Github action, but the round-trip time was too long / too slow. Time to level up on my git pre-commit skills and knowledge.

Linting has enforced architecture and demands opinion in a way this bunch is never used to. I don’t mind taking this farther maybe #lint the schema as well since the discipline is there now.
