Maybe making #LinuxBoot / #NERF instead of #UEFI the #BIOS "successor" would've be a more beneficial change than replacing SystemD for no good reason.
Technology shofts OFC and so does the meta.
Maybe in 30 years will Linix ise #fish instead of #bash per default and bash scripts will be emulated by that internally?

Instead of UEFI, on the #Pi4 - like the original #RaspberryPi - the Broadcom SoC looks for a bootcode at a specific adress and then proceeds to load the initramfs and kernel to boot.
Personally I wished all devices used #LinuxBoot (aka. #NERF)

Yes in that there is cheap stuff like the #Pinebook and absurdly expensive shit like the #ThinkPad #X1s that noone wants and nothing in between.
Granted there are some ood devices - for their money - but even the @Raspberry_Pi #Pi4B & #Pi400 don't follow spec and most certainly don't have #LinuxBoot for the bootchain.
