How do you guys set up network bridging on Debian ? I've been messing with /etc/network/interfaces for hours, following all the guides but it doesn't seem to work. The network just stops working. I need a bridge for KVM.

@RL_Dane @mjgardner @benjaminhollon @sotolf re #inxi size, in some sense I consider it a compliment that you are surprised by the size, because that suggests that inxi makes very very difficult stuff look easy. I believe the Graphics and CPU sections are over 2k lines each. CPU done with huge help from #slackware people (on #linuxquestions.org), so largely complete except for updates. Graphics lacking in #wayland features, but that's wayland fault, not inxi, poor data, poor data sources.

Thanks to the following #Linuxquestions thread, I was able to fix my messed up initrd.gz without reinstalling #Slackware!

Now booted into the system with the #Linux 5.19.2 kernel available in -current and updating packages made available since things went south. 💯

Once everything is updated, I'm going to create a new script to create the proper initrd.gz image with the output from the mkinitrd_command_generator script. :flan_thumbs:

Where do people generally save their bash scripts?

Note that I want to keep them safe if I change distros or reinstall so they'd have to be in the home folder (which is on a separate partition) at least, right? #linux #linuxquestions

I want to set up a PHP development and test rig. I use Ubuntu 18.04 and Apache 2. The problem i end up with is that www-data must own all the files, but I can't run git and Sublime Text as www-data.

How to solve this? Run Apache 2 as myself?
