Liquid democracy is an interesting new system that I think could fix some of the biggest flaws with our democracies today. It represents the people both efficiently and fairly in my opinion.

I'm struck by similarities of the #Fediverse & the #LiquidDemocracy #experience:

The #network of #federation & #defederation in the #Fediverse, & the #tree of #delegation|s in #LiquidDemocracy show some remarkable extend of #analogy.

For example, when a #FediInstance decides to #block another #instance, then this is conceptually similar to breaking a #ChainOfDelegation in Liquid #Democracy by a person in the chain redirecting her #delegation or withdrawing it.

Two big issues to solve for the future of the #Fediverse:

1. Moderation
2. Participative decision-making

The #moderation function and tools for admins seem to be not up to speed for instances with several 1000s or 10000s of accounts, when I understand some of the toots this morning correctly.

And then there's decision-making and I'm not sure of something like #LiquidDemocracy could work here. (But it would be a really interesting experiment)
