What is the most ethical way to dispose of (but decorative) ?

I have some big blue lilyturf / muscari that I want to replace with native plants in my garden. (It's native to East Asia, not Philly.)

I could give it away, but that means encouraging other people to plant invasive species. On the other hand, if I do not give it away, that means people who want this plant will pay nurseries to grow it instead of native plants. Is composting it the best option?
