OMG all these years, I’ve seen the word “scatological” and have never looked it up until today. My dictionary says scatological = the study of feces (scat). That didn’t make sense to me in the context of the article I was reading, i.e. “her humor is scatological”. Her humor is about 💩💩?? But thesaurus.com had more modern definitions. Still, I’m chagrined I didn’t know this. #literacyMatters
