Talking yesterday with @spoopy and @delayecho about eating street mallow inspired me to eat a bunch off this monster that I walked the dog by this morning. The biggest leaves were definitely more flavorful, and I could actually eat them in salad and maybe cooked? The same yard had a ton of mustard in bloom, and that tastes fantastic!

It also makes me want chickens and goats again, pragmatically legal in LA.There's a line from an old court case about commoning that I've never been able to track down -- people "eat the grass with the mouths of their cattle".
