Someday, a #LiteraryAgent is going to sign me and get a pretty prolific, hard-working, proven writer who's easy to work with. That, or I'll have to keep representing myself , which has gotten me six published books so far. Either way, I ain't goin' nowhere.

I finally thought, specifically, of getting my query letter, synopsis, and first ten pages reviewed by an editor who has actually worked as a literary agent, and... wow. I paid a premium for this feedback, but it's telling me what I've needed to know for so long. It also helps that I finally thought to ask relevant questions that have led to new, enlightening revelations of how I can succeed.

I’ve just finished my first #book “SPARKLE” which is completely ready for #publication but I don’t know any #publishinghouses or who to contact?!

“SPARKLE” is one part how-to #beauty book and the other part #memoir about my traumatic childhood, and how that motivated me to make a name for myself, utilizing all the tips and tricks that I put in my book!

When I tell people I'm trying to get an agent and/or publisher for my book, they too often ask where they can buy it or when it will come out. Um...since when can you buy a book that isn't published? That's not how books work. Since when does "I'm looking for a publisher" mean "You can buy it now"?

No, you can't buy it
Because it's not published yet

Getting ghosted by agents and publishers is almost as awful as getting form rejections. At this point, after all the work that's gone into this story and the query package sent to agents, all I can do is wait, hope, and pray that someone will save me from this endless cycle of silence.
