It’s an honour to receive the Roscommon New Writing Award. Congratulations to the other award winners, and to the writers included in the beautiful ‘Autumn Leaves’ broadsheet.
When I lifted the trophy, it took me straight to ‘Murder She Wrote’, Mrs Fletcher pointing to the rectangular gap in the dust on the dead writers desk, turning to the tuxedoed partygoers, and saying, ‘whatever sat there is the murder weapon.’
