Is there a solution to load a #nix env for a single #emacs buffer from an arbitrary file?

I'd like to be able to define an environment for a specific #OrgMode file (within #OrgRoam, so in a flat file structure), which would (ideally) tangle a `shell.nix` to the `org-attach-id-dir`, and be loaded into the buffer with some elisp code.

I'd use this, e.g., for taking #literate #pkm notes on programming languages and packages. But being able to define a run environment within #literateprogramming, esp for #reproduciblescience, sounds quite generally useful though.

The basics seem to be in `nix-buffer`, `emacs-direnv` and `envrc.el`, but they all seem to require a directory-specific environment rather than an arbitrary nix file.

Even in 1820, only 12% of the world was #literate. As time grew and more and more people learned to #read, people in power learned that choosing what people could read is almost as powerful as what you could try and force them to read.

Thoughts on another #literate-programming tool:

One of the major complications of LP is that none of the mainstream programming tools like compilers or language servers work on LP files. Ferro tried to address that by leaving the code mostly alone in its native format, but that loses the fluency of referring to text and code together.

What if we had an intermediate program that translated fluently between "standard" and "literate" formats — like a continuous bidirectional tangle?

We love #SteveKeen's ideas.

His work alongside #KevinRudd, to fight the #GFC in #Australia by giving some cash to everyone to spend how they need was a far cry from the #bailOutTheBanks idea out of the #US.

To be fair, since #repoCrisis last year every #literate pundit and his dog was waiting for this. Even before then people knew #wallSt were dependant on #greaterFools to support the #ponziScheme and #debtBubble. With close to #NegativeInterestRates etc.

I'm curious about people's experiences with #literate-programming. Do you feel like it helps you write better programs? Have you ever built a literate program with someone else? What were the benefits and drawbacks you experienced from using the approach?
