Fun place, #Lithgow. Thereโs a prison down the highway, and about a third of the town is either families of prisoners, former prisoners, or petty crims servicing prisoners.
The train station is the end of the Blue Mountains Line; itโs an open secret that #meth transships through the bus interchange atop the stairs to the rest of central west #NSW.
I used to live a street over from where this robbery took place, and it was one of the *nicer* parts of town.

It was a bit confusing to us to make sense of the national park boundaries in the Seven Valleys around #Lithgow but there's a Gardens of Stone national park and a state conservation area. The national park is to the north from Capertree down to Wolgan Valley, the south edge of Wolgan Valley, and Donkey Mountain.
The state conservation area is below that down to near Lithgow. The state conservation area was only gazetted in May this year!
