That pressure sensing capsule found in most disposable #vape pens can very easily be turned into a #touchSensitive switch that is capable of switching currents high enough to activate small relays and solenoids
Simply slice the top off, exposing the the edges of the inner and outer conductive cylindrical walls. Bridging the two walls with something no more conductive than human skin is sufficient to trigger it

This is the most deformed lithium polymer battery I've found on the street that still had a significant charge (3.5V)
It used to be cylindrical but now has a 11mm x 14mm cross section
I won't bother discharging the the damaged one also found on the street today. I intend to dump both in the battery recycling bins at Asda tomorrow.

I bought this indoor drone for £4 at a charity shop but discovered that the battery charger was missing. I'll need to jury rig a charger for its 300mAh battery in order to test whether it still works. It still had a voltage of 3.75V but the props wouldn't start and the LEDs just blinked.

I've salvaged so many unprotected Li-poly batteries from the street that I've run out of over-discharge protection PCBs. So I'm testing this rudimentary protection circuit which should shut off the TIP32a power transistor when the battery voltage drops below 3.2V = forward voltage of a white LED (2.6V) + base-emitter voltage drop (0.6V)
