The #effects are then compared with effects on #mean #sizes. In all #analyses, #lithology was the #dominant effect, with sizes #greater by 59% in #marls and by 33% in #limestones, as compared to #black #shales. The effect of complete #sampling style was a #decrease in size by 11%.

Dump me in place with no map and I will look at rocks or old buildings, and know roughly where I am. A #geologist has a wondrous tool in their hands. I always feel helpless in my perceptions of time, as well as looking into a place I can't be. Do we all feel the same, when given the gift of geology?
