#LittleBit taking a looksie. #CatsOfMastodon

#LittleBit's demeanor change over the past few days. He's turned grumpy and mean. Pounces on #SissyCat anytime she makes a noise. Even lashed out at me over me using my computer mouse. Over 1000 hours on my lap over the past couple years and never had a problem with me doing my computer stuff.

He doesn't look like he feels well.

We have an appointment for the vet.

This is unusual behavior for him.

#LittleBit (cat) tipped over a repurposed chair we had in the kitchen, breaking most of the back off of it when it crashed.

We put it out, but he spent so long sitting in the kitchen window staring at it & whining that turned it into a stool seat until we decide if we are going to fix it or leave it as a stool and patch it up. Two spindles broke off but the other we just pulled out.

Then he stared at the cushion, so we had to improvise it.

He loves to sit on that chair.

After I, along with my #SissyCat and #LittleBit, cat therapist helpers did my home #PhysicalTherapy exercises last night, we ended crashing and falling asleep for a couple hours on the floor. Sissy on my head & Little Bit, legs.

They think PT is cat play time and they have a ball doing it.

They won't let me skip a night of PT.

As the evening gets darker and PT hasn't started, Little Bit gets up on the coffee table being mischievous, and Sissy just stares me down.

The wife got my shorts put together so I could get changed and go outside a bit today but #LittleBit was having nothing to do with it.

The #cats have learned that certain behaviors, like my shoes and other clothing, means I will be outside of the house.

The are such good #caretakers

Any other #homebound #Disabled person have a cat that protects them or exhibits concern when you are about to leave the "nest?"

@KBaileyBooks Both our cats are rescues and immediately took to the empty soda boxes.

They love their small-sided boxes, like yours, but rest in their Coke boxes.

Both love Coca-Cola boxes. #SissyCat takes a smaller box than #LittleBit. 😸

@KBaileyBooks 😸 #LittleBit doesn't understand why his doesn't fit anymore so we had to modify his fav box. When he was a kitten he would get in them and sleep. He still sleeps in them.

Yesterday, we clipped the #CatsOfMastodon nails. We do them every other Saturday.

They never have really put up a fight but this was the first time #SissyCat purred while getting them clipped.

#LittleBit is in it just for the treats. 😸

Little Bit is now two and Sissy is a year and a half old.

I think it it cute that my tabby #SissyCat sleeps on her back with her paws curled under.

She's done this ever since we brought her home the shelter more than a year ago.

(I am now using #SissyCat instead of the #Sissy tag due to adult themes. You can see her old photos there. Her companion will still be #LittleBit tag)

2/ UPDATE: The other day I toot posted about the fire in my office and my heroic cat, #LittleBit

Despite having Little Bit on fire duty, we have installed extra smoke detectors in our home because it is apparent the ones we had did not cover the entire home.

We also installed two new fire extinguishers in the house at wheelchair level.

@Pineywoozle Our cats act like dogs, too. Very needy. I've never had cats that behave like these two.

Maybe because I am homebound and in the couple years, I've had them, from kittens, they've only been in the house alone 6 occasions for a few hours each.

They are human co-dependent. Always up my crawl.
