Spain has one of the most unequal population densities in Europe, if not the world. Spain contains more than 505,000 1km squares. Only 63,600 of those km squares have ANYONE in them. The other 441,370 square kms of Spain are quite literally España vacía. On the other hand, more than 53,000 people live in a single km2 in Barcelona, surpassing even Paris for density.
