Building an EV generates several tons of emissions. You save emissions while driving - but it takes a while to just break even on emissions (depending on mileage and how your electric is generated).
Cutting your mileage with your existing vehicle, by e.g getting an electric bike or a cargo bike avoids the big up front emissions of the EV. It could be a pragmatic way to cut emissions if someone is not ready to just ditch the car.
Electric bikes could be an easy switch too for a two car family wanting to ditch one.

Hier die Jahresabrechnung 2022 meiner PV-Anlage: Ich habe zwar etwas mehr Strom verbraucht, als in 2021 (118 kWh), aber dafür viel mehr Produziert, nämlich 1.030 kWh bzw. 7.160 kWh insgesamt. Und ich habe weniger Strom aus dem Netz bezogen (320 kWh).Alles in allem ein gutes Anti-Putin-Jahr... 😄 #LiveGreen #SolarEdgePV

Schon irgendwie verrückt: es ist Wintersonnenwende, knapp halb zehn morgens, neblig. Und trotzdem schafft es die PV-Anlage, das gesamte Haus zu versorgen. Das braucht nämlich nur 140 Watt. Weil wir 7 °C draußen haben. #SolarEdgePV #LiveGreen

Meine PV-Anlage hat nun auch im Dezember, und damit in jedem Monat des Jahres, mehr Strom produziert als im Vorjahr. Da es kommende Woche wieder wärmer wird, kann es gut sein, dass der Verbrauch auch geringer ausfallen wird. In jedem Fall war das ein gutes Anti-Putin-Jahr... 😄 #LiveGreen #SolarEdge
