I'm not as inherently against #LiveService games and if #Sony can come up with a live service model that appeals to fans of single player story driven games (something they are very good at) and fans of online multiplayer #VideoGames it could be the kick up the arse that live service needs. I wish I didnt like Elder Scrolls Online because Bethesda's money-grubbing for that game is sinister. I love the lore and environments of the game so much, but requiring PS4 users to not only buy PS Plus to access multiplayer but also lock the unlimited craft bag under ESO Plus is bullshit. #eso #elderscrolls #liveservice #ps4

TemTem is a Pokémon inspired rpg that I’ve got mixed feelings about. On one hand, the combat, music and graphics are wonderful, however the game is inexorably a live service, therefore you’re forced to slog through grindy and long gauntlets so that you’re spending as much time as possible in the game to spend money. If it had a greater focus on exploration and discovery, and had a faster plot, I would be alll about it!

I really hope this #LiveService fad in #gaming ends soon. :blobcatgrimacing: So much time and energy is wasted developing these things when they’re all pretty much the exact same thing over and over again.
