DYK that we have a Welsh Patron Saint of lovers?
January 25th is her Saint鈥檚 Day.
After early unhappiness, which depends which legend you read, Dwynwen decided to remove herself from everyday life and devote herself to a religious life on Ynys #Llanddwyn Island.
Later, a church dedicated to her became a sacred pilgrimage destination. Lovers would visit, and try to divine their romantic future according to the movement of eels in a well!

In 2004 T诺r Mawr on Ynys Llanddwyn was a location for the film Half Light, with Demi Moore. I noticed yesterday that the old red paint job is beginning to reappear. For the film it was painted half red, then CGI was used to turn it into a full-height lighthouse.
