@ParaHandy what I was getting at is that #LLTNP situation shows that that right is extremely easy to take away, in this case on the whim of a handful of people (and uncannily the excuse is littering just as on Dartmoor). We really need to be vigilant, the landowner lobby in Scotland is extremely powerful.

@zleap @alex_roddie specifically to the #LLTNP, the park could have put the resources it now dedicates to enforcing the camping ban into dealing with the original antisocial behaviour, FWIW, I have seen no real evidence that the camping ban actually reduced the antisocial behaviour at the trouble spots.

@alex_roddie very sad, but we should not kid ourselves that the landowners in Scotland are any more enlightened. The situation in the #LLTNP shows that our access rights are lot more fragile than many of us thought following the Act.
