Under capitalism a river's only value comes from exploitation of the water. Under capitalism a tree only has value when planted (regardless of whether it's done so appropriately) or harvested.
Capitalism is dependent upon exploitation because the root of capitalism lies in the arbitrage of exploitation.

#Delhi is such a wonderful place. It makes me sad to think about all of the beautiful green spaces that have been lost. Development for the sake of development destroys communities and makes us all poorer. Local communities can control their spaces much better than centralized authorities.
